Juveniles
Most at-risk juveniles have faced a variety of different situations: adjudication, foster homes, substance abuse, poverty, physical or psychological abuse, and neglect being only a few. These young people have difficulty relating to teens who play football, go to school pep rallies, drive expensive cars, and worry about what college they will attend.

The juvenile version of the Personal Living Skills Series was written about at-risk teens. The scenarios in these student workbooks talk about problems with parents, foster parents, juvenile justice and probation officers, gangs, unplanned pregnancies, and raising children.

Student Workbooks are written below the sixth grade reading level. With stories, quotes, and jokes about people like themselves, students gain a better understanding of the material they are reading. They are able to relate to it and therefore retain it. "What's the Point?" sections help students focus. "What Do You Think?" sections give frequent opportunities for student interaction. The "WORKBOOK QUIZ" at the end of each workbook can be taken by the student independently or under supervision.
